I finally decided to embrace one of my dreams in life. Photography! My entire life I have LOVED taking pictures. When the world switched to digital it be came even more fun because there was no longer a price tag associate with every picture you took, so I could take hundreds and pick through the ones I liked. After a long time of thinking and talking about getting an SLR camera I finally got the guts and ordered the one I wanted; the Nikon D90. I did lots of brainstorming and justifying the purchase. I figured if I really wanted to embrace the photography world it would take YEARS to build up to do professional pictures, so I might as well start now. Plus I had a little extra motivation and encouragement from my sister-in-law Lindsay and my mother & father-in-law Carolyn & Doug and of course my husband Adam who has since we got married tried to persuade me to embrace this dream. Maybe they were just being nice but they made me feel so good about my picture taking that I took the big step. The most exciting and nerve wracking part of it is that Lindsay is also giving me the opportunity to shoot her engagement and upcoming wedding photos!!!! I have until October to learn for her engagement pictures and her wedding will be in December. The pressure is on!!!!
So what does this have to do with my desire to win the Tamron 18-270mm lens? EVERYTHING!!!!! Or course the value of the lens in dollar terms is defiantly up there and since I already spent my savings on my camera, it leaves little room for growth at this time. The more I read and the more I practice the more I want to learn. Yet I have become limited with what I have. As I read the specs on this camera and studied all of its capabilities it truly is the Ultimate All-In-One Zoom Lens. It absolutely amazes me that Tamron has yet again reached an amazing milestone by creating a well built lens that has zoom capabilities of 15x, and still produces beautiful and sharp images. But that's to be expected from Tamron since they've been working at this since 1992. But this isn't all, from it's aperture range to focal lengths, wining this lens would provide me with the ability to continue to grow and develop my talents in the world of photography. It is my dream and I'm doing everything I can to make it a reality.
This is my submission for the www.iheartfaces.com awesome contest to win the Tamron 18-270mm
